Rudi Hoffmann (born 1924 in Höxter, † July 18th 2008 in Bensheim) was a German game creator.
In 1989 his game Café International became Game of the Year and in the same year he received for his game Maestro the Golden Pawns.
After studying at the Karlsruhe Academy of Fine Arts, he worked as author and ceramist.
After years of working as a commercial artist and illustrator, he began in 1964 with the invention of games. Thereby his knowledge as commercial artist was useful.
Hoffmann was one of the most respected game designers in Germany.
Since 1996 his son Guido Hoffmann also deals with the design and feature of games and they both worked together at the implementation of Ogallala as Card game and the game on the towers.
